Whistler truly a four season venue. Sports, entertainment and activities are unlimited. You probably know Whistler as the number one ski resort in North America. With over 7,000 skiable acres on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, and the cross country trails, (one of which passes each of our properties on Nicklaus North), Whistler's winter charms are obvious.

The space, the lack of lift queues, the children's ski park, the designated snowboard areas with half pipes, rails and jumps, the heli-skiing for the powder hounds, along with the charm of the Canadians, makes Whistler a joyful place to holiday. It is one of the few resorts where a non-skier will be as content as you after your day on the slopes. There is so much to do.

You can swim, skate and use the gym at the Meadow Park Sports Centre, just a few minutes from the Village. Spend time in a class at the craft gallery, or in the Expression Ceramics Studio where you can design and paint your own masterpiece. Visit the museum and talk with the knowledgeable curator, play tennis or snowshoe through the mountains with the most interesting and proficient guides. You need not ski. If you can walk you can snowshoe.

There are hundreds of shops. Whether you just want to browse or if you have a credit card burning a hole in your pocket, there is something for you.

On the mountains: There is a wonderful ski school which takes all ages and abilities. For those who no longer need to be reminded about `zee knees', the Ski Esprit programme will help you 'improve while you move', without lengthy discussion or standing around waiting in line for your turn.

The Mountain Host programme takes place each morning and afternoon, run by volunteers who guide you to runs unknown to anyone but the locals. This is a free service! You may choose to make Fresh Tracks with an early start, breakfast on the mountain and then skiing before the regular lifts start operating.

Snowmobiling adventures abound. You can choose between the local trails, climb up to one of the mountain restaurants for dinner or a tour of Soo Valley and Cougar Mountain to take you further into the interior.

From Nicklaus North to the lift base is a ten dollar taxi ride or 2 dollar bus ride, (the local bus stops at the entrance to Nicklaus North, just three minutes walk), From the Village town homes a ten minute walk will deliver you to the lifts.
On your first few days we will be able help you to find your way around, if you wish.

We have arranged for you to leave them securely stored in the village, enabling you to apres-ski unencumbered wandering around the shops and bars. (Of course you may store them at home if you wish). Equipment hire, of the latest ranges is available at the same location.
